AMADAY's main programme

M.A.D.R.E. Project

Más Apoyo, Dignidad, Recursos y Estabilidad (More Support, Dignity, Resources and Stability) for women raising children.

M.A.D.R.E. was created to support women raising children who are in, or at risk of, vulnerable situations, especially when they are raising children alone, have little support network or face economic and work–life balance difficulties.

We seek to connect support, resources and opportunities for autonomy, contributing to the wellbeing and protection of their sons and daughters.

Structured programme under development. You can contact us to ask about guidance or collaboration possibilities.

Purpose

So that raising children does not mean being alone

M.A.D.R.E. starts from a perspective that takes into account the woman, her caring responsibilities and the wellbeing of her sons and daughters.

We want to bring together support that helps to face difficulties and build future possibilities, respecting each woman's decisions and circumstances.

Who it is for

Who is it for?

Women raising children in, or at risk of, vulnerable situations, especially when they:

  • Are raising children alone or carry most of the care without enough support.
  • Have a limited family or community network.
  • Face economic difficulties or barriers to accessing resources.
  • Find it hard to balance care with work or study.

Every situation is different. You do not need to match all these circumstances to make a first enquiry.

Objectives

What we want to help change

More support and community

Facilitating connections and guidance so women have people and resources to turn to.

More opportunities for autonomy

Exploring training and opportunities compatible with caring that expand the ability to decide and organise one's own life.

Greater wellbeing and child protection

Helping ensure that economic difficulties and lack of a network do not limit children's care conditions and opportunities.

These are the project's objectives. Their development will depend on the capacity and resources that become available.

Starting point

From one-off support to a structured programme

People have been accompanied to facilitate access to social and shelter resources. In experiences of supporting mothers and families, resources such as food, clothing and school supplies have also been mobilised, according to the needs and possibilities at each moment.

This one-off support is part of the journey that inspires M.A.D.R.E. It does not mean there is a regular benefit available for every request.

Development

The programme we want to build

We are shaping a programme that connects listening, guidance towards resources, community support and opportunities for autonomy compatible with raising children.

To move forward we need to define the team, funding, collaborations, activities and participation conditions. We will share how to take part once these are defined.

Access

If you need guidance, you can write to us

You can make a first enquiry without waiting for a call for participants. Tell us briefly what you need and we will consider what guidance is possible, according to your situation and the resources available.

Initial contact does not confirm a place or the granting of any support.

Frequently asked questions

Before getting in touch

Is registration open?

The structured programme is under development. You can write to us for initial guidance or to learn about collaboration possibilities.

Do you offer regular financial or material support?

Support depends on the needs assessed and the resources available. No regular benefit has been announced.

Do I have to send documents or information about my children?

A few lines are enough for the first contact. Do not send personal documents, medical information or identifying details of minors through the form.

Can I ask if my family situation is different?

Yes. You can write to us to consider the possibilities for guidance. Each project has its own scope and contact does not guarantee access to a programme.
