The association
An association to bring together support and opportunities
We are Asociación Integrativa AMADAY, a non-profit organisation born in Lanzarote in April 2024. We promote the dignity, equality and inclusion of people and communities in vulnerable situations.
Origins
From listening to action
AMADAY was born from a commitment to create close support and facilitate opportunities. Accompanying women and families, and the need for a community that sustains care, are at the origin of M.A.D.R.E.
Our activity takes place mainly in Lanzarote and across the Canary Islands.

Priority
Women, child-rearing and autonomy
Our priority is to support women raising children who are in, or at risk of, vulnerable situations: women raising children alone, with little support network, or who find it hard to sustain their finances and balance care with work or study.
We want to help them make decisions about their lives with the support they need, and help their sons and daughters grow up with greater wellbeing and protection. M.A.D.R.E. brings this priority together as the association's main programme.
Discover M.A.D.R.E.Our mission
To promote the dignity, rights and integral development of people and communities in, or at risk of, social exclusion, through cooperation, networking, education and participation.
Our vision
A society where raising children has community support, women have opportunities to build their autonomy and children can grow up with their rights protected.
Values
What guides the way we work
- Dignity: we recognise the worth and rights of every person.
- Equality and inclusion: we promote opportunities and participation without discrimination.
- Listening: we respect each woman's experience, needs and decisions.
- Autonomy and education: we want to expand capabilities and choices.
- Solidarity and cooperation: we seek shared responses and networking.
- Care and work–life balance: we keep caring responsibilities in mind when planning new initiatives.
Aims
A commitment that embraces the community
Our aims include social inclusion, equal opportunities, human rights, youth participation, education, social and labour integration, the promotion of wellbeing and mental health, a culture of peace and volunteering.
This framework allows initiatives for different people and communities. Each project defines its purpose, its participants and its stage of development.

Our journey
Some of our activities
We share some initiatives from our first steps as part of Lanzarote’s community of associations.
Raising awareness of AMADAY and M.A.D.R.E.
We presented the association and the project at BNI Lanzarote. We also took part in Yoruba Festival 2025 to share our purpose and gather interest from people who wanted to collaborate.
Sharing knowledge about health
We promoted a series of six talks at the Real Casino Club Náutico, which provided the venue. Fayna Curbelo and Miguel Ángel Chicharro covered menopause, nutrition, exercise, healthy habits and low-grade inflammation.
Accompanying people towards resources
We have accompanied people and families to facilitate access to social and shelter resources, through liaison with public services.
Support network
Cooperation and networking
We share a commitment to inclusion, equality and supporting people. We collaborate with Alma and Atria and raise awareness of other like-minded associations in our area: Mararía, Fedemilanz and Acciones Unidas.
